The Bill of Rights

The Bill of Rights was added to the Constitution by our Founding Fathers to appease anti-Federalists who feared the loss of individual liberties once a federal government was established. Today it consists of twelve amendments that guarantee such rights as freedom of religion, speech, constitutional right to bear arms and the press; the right to bear arms; the right to remain innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; constitutional right to bear arms and the right to trial by jury.
